Walking Tacos are a fun, portable, and filling meal โ ideal for high-energy days like white water rafting or trail work. Each person gets their own bag of chips and fills it up with their favorite taco fixings. No plates. No mess. Just shake, fork, and go!
๐งพ Ingredients:
12 individual-sized bags of Fritos or Doritos
2 lbs ground beef or turkey
1 large onion, diced
2 packets taco seasoning
2 cups shredded lettuce
2 large tomatoes, diced
1 jar salsa
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 can sliced jalapeรฑos (optional)
1 can sliced black olives (optional)
1 can refried beans (optional)

Cook the meat:
Brown the ground beef or turkey in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and diced onion. Cook for 5 more minutes, until the onions are soft.Prepare the toppings:
While the meat is cooking, shred the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and open any optional cans. Arrange all toppings in bowls or containers for easy serving.Assemble the tacos:
Hand each person a chip bag. Theyโll open it, spoon in the hot meat, and then top it with whatever they like โ lettuce, tomato, cheese, salsa, sour cream, and more.
