The Grapevine Spring 2026
A Letter from the Director
Dear Friends of Glory Ridge,
There is a quiet rhythm to this time of year on the ridge. The pace is steady. The work has begun. And little by little, the camp is coming back to life.
Over these past weeks, I’ve watched that happen through shared meals, workdays, laughter among friends, and prayers spoken across these familiar grounds. There is something deeply meaningful about this season—not yet the fullness of summer, but the quiet preparation that makes it possible.
Since March, we have welcomed individuals and small groups seeking sabbath rest, along with friends who have stepped in to serve in meaningful ways. A free community vaccine clinic cared for over 140 animals in a single day. Work teams have helped prepare the camp—cleaning, repairing, rebuilding, and strengthening the spaces that will soon be filled with summer life. Others have come simply to be present, to pray, and to share in the rhythm of this place.
At our winter board retreat, we spent time listening for what the Lord desires for Glory Ridge in this season—not simply what we should do, but what only He can do. It was a deep gift to invite my brother, The Rev. Dr. Ryan Ray, to guide us in that time. He has long been a spiritual mentor to me, and it meant a great deal to share that space of ministry together, something we do not often have the opportunity to do.
I was especially grateful to introduce him to our leadership team and to witness the way he gently led us in listening, discernment, and prayer.
Out of that time, we were led to write a prayer together.
We have committed to praying it faithfully.
And it is my hope that you might pray it with us.
