The Carpenter’s Workshop

Image of a Workshop

We’re well into the first few weeks of our summer camps, and Glory Ridge is alive with the sounds of joyful service, music, and fellowship. Campers and staff are hard at work, continuing the spirit of love and community that defines this place. The Ridge looks as beautiful as ever, thriving under the faithful stewardship of Deb and Matthew, as we walk in the blessings of the prayers and dreams of those who came before us.

Earlier this spring, we shared news by letter about our plans for The Carpenter’s Workshop, a new tool and maintenance building that will help support our growing, year-round ministry. We’re happy to report that the excitement for this project continues, and we are grateful for the encouragement and support we’ve received so far.

The new two-story building will replace the existing tool shed and provide much-needed space for tool storage and equipment parking. Thanks to ECS Limited’s generous pledge to cover 25% of the $159,000 cost, and the funds already in our Memorial and NCF accounts, we’re making progress. However, we still need to raise about $79,000 to meet our goal and begin construction once the summer season ends so that the building can be ready by spring 2026.

If you feel called, we invite you to continue praying for this effort and, if able, to contribute toward making The Carpenter’s Workshop a reality. Gifts can be sent to Glory Ridge, P.O. Box 363, Marshall, NC 28753, with a note that it is for The Carpenter’s Workshop. Your prayers and generosity help us build not just structures, but a legacy of service and faith that will bless generations to come. If you didn’t receive our earlier letter about this project, we encourage you to sign up for our mailing list so you can stay connected with all that’s happening on the Ridge.
